Following years of reformulating at McDonald’s, most of the burgers it serves in the U.S. are now preservative-free. “Our pickle contains an artificial preservative, so skip it if you like”, the online banner reads in its caption. Since Wednesday, ¾ of the lineup is being served without preservatives. That includes the classics, hamburger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger; ‘McDouble’; single and double ‘quarter pounders’ with cheese and the ‘Big Mac’.

Did you know that the best-selling McDonald’s franchise is not located elsewhere in the U.S. but smack in the center of the city of Munich? And that the beef used for the patties in Germany supersedes the quality, due to stricter contracts with local ranchers, for better upbringing of the cattle?
