black man’s video
Beyond its DIY approach and aim for a more independent approach to producing music, passion and purpose of indie music is to produce music of a quality that is not universally compatible with mainstream audiences.
Today a highly commercial product sells a riskier set of sophisticated high quality to the mainstream audience than indie music can claim. It’s a lesson of the strong individual capable of collaboration and market a sophisticated package to a more capable mainstream audience. Music of mass destruction quality.
Now that the more experimental, progressed music is accepted and consumed by a broader mainstream audience, do we still need underground or indie music?
